The beach has been an important part of my growth as an artist. I found it challenging and intriguing. I went back and forth for years before coming back to painting the coast and I am so glad that I did. Every time I would go to the beach I would study the waves - look at the color, the shape, the movement and the feeling. "Emerald Crush" is inspired by one of many photos I have taken in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
