Hyde Park

"Hyde Park" is inspired by the beautiful Hyde Park neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio. But what I loved about the angle of this particular picture, is that it gives the feeling of any quaint town center... a place of gathering, connection, and community. I loved the line of colorful cars, and shop awnings that provide color and interest for what lies within. The sun was shining brightly that day, casting irresistible shadow shapes and making the trees and shrubs glow. I took this picture when we lived just right around the corner from this town square, and painted it years later in my Tennessee home studio.
