Wanna Play?

"Wanna Play?" was painted on site, en plein air, from my vantage point in a park across the street from a community playground. I was in the lovely mountain town of Blue Ridge, Georgia, for an art workshop, and loved seeing the families coming and going and the sweet sounds of children at play from across the street. I was drawn in by the playground canopies and how they provided a sense of depth and interest beyond the fence. ...And the rose bushes were a welcome addition for some punches of color! It was a banner day in September, and the weather fully cooperated to get this piece finished on site. 

"Wanna Play?" comes framed, in a solid wood, gallery-grade gold leaf frame that adds approximately 3" on each side.
