Emily is typically found wearing a sweatshirt and leggings, with a giant mug of coffee in hand. Her art tells her story of battling mental illness, finding hope, and her desire is to share that hope with others. Emily’s art is peaceful, as she creates what she feels her soul needs. With art as her personal therapy, she finds creating absolutely essential to her life as a wife, mother, and friend. Emily lives in the same neighborhood she grew up in, just north of Atlanta, and is raising three boys with her husband and high school sweetheart. Emily works primarily in mixed media, combining aspects she loves most about watercolor and fluid painting, line work and drawing, and thick rich texture making her works jump off the canvas.
