Nicole Russell-Schlesinger
Mount Pleasant based artist, Nicole Russell-Schlesinger, creates mixed media pieces of porcelain and acrylic on canvas. Living near the water, she draws inspiration from elements of everyday life, especially the colors of the Lowcountry. Her work explores balance and contrasting textures with a focus on florals and nature.
Growing up in Summerville, SC, Nicole attended Rollings School of the Arts for Visual Art and took lessons with local artists. She later graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Early Childhood Education. After teaching for several years, Nicole began making pottery and art while fulfilling another dream of becoming a mom.
Nicole works out of her home studio in Old Village where she resides with her husband, Ben, and their daughter Rose.
