Watercolor and India Ink on Layered Heavyweight Archival Fine Art Paper
One of my favorite places along the gulf coast is the Bolivar Peninsula - a Texas gem known for its expansive beaches and excellent fishing. This piece is inspired by a memorable day of fishing when my husband and I shared a secret, fenced-off spot a local told us about with a beautiful blue heron. The bird was just as focused on catching his dinner as we were, but much less concerned with violating any trespassing laws. I have float mounted this majestic hunter on a separate sheet of hand-painted, hand-cut fine art paper which gives the piece a unique, dimensional presentation.
