I love magnolias because they symbolize boldness and resilience, but when I paint them they start to dance! If you look closely, you'll notice several layers and even the pencil marks: the evidence of where it all began. These southern flowers are symbolic of our lives, aren't they? How we are all uniquely knitted together by our Creator. You may wonder, "What's with the circles and lines?" Well, one day the Lord used a reflection from the sun to remind me of his sovereignty and love when I was walking through a season of anxiety. I find comfort knowing that He is truly holding it all together, keeping it all in balance. I'm so pleased with these magnolias dancing in soothing blues and sage-y greens. They are singing of spring and I like to think: promising hope for the future.
