Christina Spencer
Sunny Girl
400
16” x 19.5"
Watercolor and gouache on loose unstretched canvas.
Unframed.
Part of a quartet of abstracted florals, this piece was inspired by a springtime spent in Charleston, SC admiring the new blooms of climbing vines and window box displays off of cobblestone streets which paralleled a personal season of pruning, planting, and new growth.
Note: Occasional slight fraying or subtle rippling along the edge are inherent to the nature of unstretched canvas and charm of this medium and will flatten with framing. Some paint transfer onto back of canvas. Work is titled, signed, and dated in pencil on back and signed in the bottom right on the front of the piece in gouache.
