Larkspur (July Birth Flower)
The Birth Flower Collection is a celebration of life, hope, and God’s intimate care for each person from the very beginning. This collection was painted shortly after returning home from the hospital with Kit following her bone marrow transplant—a season marked by both deep suffering and profound hope.
Surrounded by families walking through grief, uncertainty, and loss, this work was shaped by the truth that suffering is not a sign of God’s absence. He is near, sovereign, and faithful. As Psalm 139 reminds us, we are known and cherished by the Lord even before our first breath. Our hope rests not in outcomes, but in Jesus Christ, who has the final word over suffering, sin, and death.
These paintings serve as a quiet remembrance of a loved one, a meaningful gift for a child, or a daily reminder of the beauty, dignity, and value of life—hope rooted not in circumstance, but in the faithful God who holds all things.
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”
